The graduation ceremony at ITHS: a historical moment

The first generation of ITHS graduates is immensely proud of the four-year education they received, the things they have learned, the teachers they had and the friends that they made.

The Information Technology High School is saying goodbye to its first generation of students who enrolled in the 2011/2012 school year. In their honor, ITHS hosted an official graduation ceremony.

Valentin Kuleto, the president of LINK group addressed the students, their parents and all the other guests by saying that the occasion was a historical moment.

“History is made by those who do great deeds for the first time. As the first generation of ITHS students, the great deed in this case is the trust you have placed in us and our desire to create a school of the future. Thank you for making my dream and the dream of my associates as well as the vision of creating a different and improved school come to life.

We began this journey of creating the largest IT-education framework 17 years ago. We always knew that we were doing a great thing. After almost two decades of hard work and commitment we can all celebrate this important day together, because it is the day on which our students step into the world of professionals” said dr Kuleto.

Students ready for new challenges

Our seniors have achieved excellent results and the school’s principal Dragan Živković is proud of them. “I would like to thank and congratulate all our students and remind them to thank their parents for recognizing the high-quality education that we offer and for enabling them to attend our school” said Živković.

A dedicated team of teachers has worked every day on making our students true IT professionals. Serbian language teacher Aleksandra Prokopijević speaks of her students with great pride. “On the one hand, I am sad that they are leaving but on the other I am happy that we gave them the wings with which they can fly away. Many of our students have decided to continue their education at our Information Technology School which means that I will most likely be their form tutor for another four years. They said that they are staying and that they expect us to be there fore them” said the Serbian teacher.

The president of the Comtrade group Veselin Jevrosimović also addressed the students and was honored by the excellent results they achieved. “It is my great pleasure to greet you in front of Comtrade and its 3600 employees. This is an important day for us because we are marking the graduation of the first generation of ITHS students. I congratulate you with all my heart and hope that you continue your education along the same successful path” said  Jevrosimović.

Students more than satisfied with ITHS

Students, clad in gowns and graduation caps, received their diplomas for completed secondary education. The best received awards and commendations. Out of the seven who had straight A’s, Luka Kozoder was named the student of the year due to his prominent accomplishments.

“As I look at all the familiar faces I am reminded of the fact that in this school I have found my second home. I must admit that at first I thought the teachers would be a real bore, as most teachers tend to be. I now feel like I owe them an apology for assuming such a thing and I would like to thank them all on behalf of my entire year. Dear teachers, thank you for the knowledge you have given us, for analyzing our personalities and knowing when to say and do the right thing, and thank you for steering us in the right direction” said Luka.

After the graduation ceremony, students threw their caps high up in the air just as fireworks filled the sky.

Congratulations to all ITHS students on their achievements. We know that their future is bright and that their true success yet to come!
