LINK Talents Projects Free Education Scholarships Awarded

At the start of the new academic year 2012/2013, for the first time, we started the project of awarding scholarships for young talents called “LINK Talents” and awarded two scholarships for 2012. Around 100 young people applied to the contest – mostly final year faculty students or fresh graduates. The conditions we determined for receiving free scholarships at ITAcademy and BusinessAcademy can be found here.

The specific thing about this scholarship is that the candidates, besides a free year of global standard education at BusinessAcademy and ITAcademy, are also provided with setting for professional application of their knowledge through practical work in our company, as well as employment opportunity.

JelenaThis year’s scholarship holders stood out among the numerous applications we received thanks to their achievements and willingness for further advancement. Scholarship for education in Marketing and Marketing Management at BusinessAcademy was awarded to Jelena Jovanović. This ambitious student with professional interest in marketing and project management wants to contribute to changes through her work and initiative. As a senior student of Faculty of Organizational Sciences, at the Management department, with average grade 9.32, she participated in numerous student projects, and acting as vice president for corporate relations of European student association ESTIEM, organized numerous projects aimed at student education and networking.

Through her participation in seminars, trainings and conferences, she advanced her personal and professional skills, and she applied for this scholarship primarily for the sake of practical training:

I applied for BusinessAcademy scholarship primarily in order to gain practical knowledge and the Cambridge certificate, which I value as very important and I believe that it will really mean a lot to me in my further career. The opportunity I have been given does not imply only high-quality education, but also the possibility of practical work and employment, which is ideal for the future of my career and common work on our successful future.

MarijaOur second scholarship holder is Marija Marković; this fact serves as further confirmation that male persons no longer exclusively dominate the world of information technology. She is a scholar on the PHP Web Development program and student of the fourth year of Faculty of Organizational Sciences, department of Information Systems and Technologies, with average grade 8.92.

Marija was a participant in Microsoft Synergy in 2010, and she is an active member of organization FONIS, with which she twice participated in organizing the Little Girl’s Day and other projects. She gained work experience at IT support position at eTalk conference 2011 and as member of eUprava portal’s editorial team. She won the third prize in the competition "How I See Serbia in 2020". When she first became acquainted with the way distance learning system works through an ITAcademy gift course, she was inspired, by her positive experience, to apply for this competition.

LINK group is a company that keeps in step with the times, and responds to changes and requirements of the market. I am an early adopter in technology and Internet trends myself, and for this very reason I see myself as a part of that milieu. What I expect from this scholarship is primarily - gaining of practical skills which will, I am sure, be of great use to me in my further career, said Marija.
