Thanks to coDEsign, a veritable festival of information technology organized by Information Technology School - ITS and companies LINK group and Comtrade, all high school students will be able to learn new things free of charge during the Programming and Design Week, which will take place at the Comtrade Center.

 

Participation in the winter school is free, and it will last from January 12 through January 16. Applications are accepted through January 10, with as much as 1,000 places available! Winter School of Programming and Design can be attended by all high school students who apply, while the rest will be able to follow certain lectures and workshops via livestream, every day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

During all 5 days, anyone interested will be able to acquire new IT skills: they will learn how to write their first code, process an image, edit their first video, etc. These are only some of the things they will be able to learn.

 

Attendants of Winter School of Programming and Design can learn how Google Analytics works, how to start internet sales, what electronic payment systems (Paypal, Bitcoin) are, how 3D printing technology works, etc. The school will include a number of workshops where students can learn how to create a WordPress site, what can be achieved in Java programming language, how images are created in Photoshop, and much more.

 

They will be guided toward this useful knowledge by excellent teachers from Information Technology School - ITS, successful businesspersons from the IT field, Google lecturers, representatives of Oracle University, Comtrade’s project managers, Hewlett-Packard’s representatives, and many others.

 

Previous experience from Winter School of Programming and Design has shown a high level of interest in acquiring new knowledge and skills in IT among high school students. Another interesting thing is that each year, the number of girls who want to learn programming and design grows. IT sphere is where they see their career. 

 

Not only will the high school students be able to acquire new knowledge in a state of the art IT school environment ITS provides; they will also have a unique opportunity to tour and learn about business envrionemnt and way of work at a successful IT company such as Comtrade.
