LINK Group has been taking part in various international projects for years
Since its inception, LINK Group has successfully participated in projects aimed at modernizing and improving education, which are supported by relevant and influential institutions such as Erasmus+ and the Embassy of the United States of America.
So far, these are the projects in which LINK Group has successfully taken part and cooperated with international educational institutions that share its mission of creating a more innovative and comprehensive education which is also rich in content, by exchanging innovative educational practices:
Project "LEAF"
In cooperation with its partners from Romania, Greece, France, Italy, and Croatia, LINK edu Alliance got the opportunity to implement the two-year Erasmus+ project called "Learn Biodiversity through Environmental Action for the Community – LEAF", which deals with expanding the capacity of teachers and students when it comes to the environment and the fight against climate change through service learning (SL) and Citizen Science.
ONLINE DigCompConsumers
"ONLINE" stands for "teaching and training yOuNg students about the DigCompConsumers though cLIeNt-basEd challenges and ICT". Consumer digital competence is defined here as the competence consumers need to function actively, safely and assertively in the digital marketplace.
Boosting Circular Economy Competences for STEM Teachers (Circular STEM)
The Institute for Contemporary Education, in cooperation with other partners, is implementing the two-year Erasmus+ project "Boosting Circular Economy Competences for STEM Teachers". The project aims to support the professional development of teachers to integrate digital tools, circular economy and entrepreneurial skills into the school curriculum.
Math&Move
Maths is most often presented to students as an isolated set of rules and procedures, separated from their real life. The Math&Move project implements innovative methodologies for teaching maths by connecting abstract content with concrete reality through movement.
Brainfinity
"Brainfinity" has already become popular in Serbia as a national problem-solving competition. High responsiveness of school-age children and teachers made us think about the internationalization of this great initiative.
MICRO COMMUNITY COOPERATIVE @ SCHOOL
LINK K–12 schools, along with the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce and the partners from Italy, Greece, Portugal and Cyprus, are participating in the MICR@S project / MIcro Community coopeRative @ School, and are aiming to develop an innovative pedagogical approach to enhance entrepreneurial skills in students from 12 to 18 years old.
SMART4FUTURE
LINKgroup is happy to announce that it will be taking part in a new project called SMART4FUTURE. This project helps to solve the challenge posed to higher education institutions (HEIs) by the unprecedented technological advancements of today. Digital technologies are becoming increasingly complex, more embedded, more miniaturised and more autonomous.
Global-Digital Literacy Opposing Big Errors- GLOBE
LINKgroup is a partner in the GLOBE project. This project is a continuation of the Erasmus+ project The world is bigger than what you see on the screen which aims to develop critical thinking and awareness of misinformation among students. The main goal of the project is to create tools for students that will enable them to develop their media literacy and become citizens capable of recognizing misinformation and false news.
TOGETHER
LINKgroup has once again been recognized as a reliable partner in the projects aimed at educational modernization and improvement within the Erasmus + KA2 TOGETHER project. The project TOGETHER is aimed at increasing digital literacy and creativity of young people through the implementation of service-learning methodology in secondary schools. The purpose of the service-learning approach is to strengthen integration of learning and useful activities in the current socio-cultural environment.
GenZ4GreenDeal
The LINKgroup company is a partner on the GenZ4GD project, which aims to develop a training and capacity building program for young people so that they would participate in the development of their local community and the environment, and encourage them to think more actively about sustainable development, environmental protection, and other “green” topics. In this project, young people will learn how to campaign for positive changes they see the need for.
Girls Go Circular
Female students of Savremena gimnazija and International School, educational institutions within the LINKgroup, were selected among fierce competition to participate on the project Girls Go Circular, which aims to help female students aged 14 to 18 from across Europe to master digital and entrepreneurial competencies through an online training program on circular economy.
SpeakER
ITHS, one of the institutions within the LINK group, has joined another international Erasmus project: SpeakER. This project aims to encourage multilingualism and diversity in the EU through Escape Rooms foreign language courses. These games will involve scenarios in which students will develop the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking in a foreign language by solving language puzzles, decoding audio and written messages, communicating in a target language, and exploring the challenges and clues to “escape’ the room.
Citizen 2.1
The Institute for Contemporary Education, one of the institutions within the LINKgroup, participates in the Citizen 2.1 project aimed at sharing best practices in the field of educational competency development related to digital skills. Project activities will help develop a teachers’ community of interest.
EngLIFE
International School, an educational institution within the LINKgroup, participates in the project EngLIFE. The aim of the project is to use educational technologies innovatively so as to strengthen the professional competencies of 18 English language teachers who teach students between the ages of 14 and 17.
Together to a Better Technology
ITHS, one of the institutions within the LINKgroup, participates in the project Together to a Better Technology, supported by Erasmus. The aim of this project is to improve teachers’ qualifications, and provide knowledge to students and parents that will enable them to manage technology more easily, and use the Internet safely.
ClimAct Now
ITHS, one of the institutions within the LINKgroup participated in the project ClimAct Now!, which refers to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13 from the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The 2030 Agenda was adopted in 2015 by all member states of the UN, and represents a joint plan for achieving peace and prosperity among all people on the planet, both now and in the future.
Let’s Exchange Cultures
Another one of LINKgroup’s educational institutions, ITHS, has contributed to educational modernization and development by participating in the project Let’s Exchange Cultures by Using Web 2.0.
CARE2LEARN
Primary School Savremena, an educational institution within the LINK Edu Alliance, participates in the CARE2LEARN project which aims to help the future first-graders prepare for school through gamification. Readiness for school includes social maturity and skill development so that the child could overcome all barriers throughout their education. The main goal of the CARE2LEARN project, coordinated by the parents’ association Step By Step, is to help children and parents develop skills that will prepare them for the next step – the first day of school through gamification, i.e. joint activities.
Barcode
ITHS, one of the institutions within the LINKgroup participates in the Barcode project. It is an Erasmus+ project that includes five partner schools under the leadership of Kretingos R. Vidmantai Gymnasium from Lithuania, one of them being ITHS, a LINKgroup educational institution. Other participants in this project are Dane Krapčev from Skopje, North Macedonia, Agrupamento de Escolas de Portela e Moscavide from Portugal, and TOKI Secondary School from Turkey.
Digital education zone
The Information Technology High School – ITHS, a member of the LINKgroup, participates in the project A hundred percentage Digital Education Zone. The project will enable teachers to teach in secondary vocational schools across Europe, and join forces to solve the problem of low student motivation (which we have often encountered). The project aims to improve the skills and competencies of high school students who participate in it.
Teach the Future
International School, one of the institutions within the LINKgroup, continues its successful participation in the Erasmus+ projects. This time, International School has joined the Teach the Future project aimed at integrating climate change education in secondary schools.This project builds on the previous initiative of the European Commission, Education for Climate Coalition, which was created to raise awareness of the environment and climate change through education.
DBIAS
Institute for Contemporary Education, ICE, participates in the project The Art of de-Biasing (dBias). It is a three-year project co-funded by the EU’s Erasmus+ program. In order to help students develop practical knowledge and understand what they are learning, and to help teachers achieve high learning outcomes, the Institute for Contemporary Education, together with its partners on the dBias project, will be developing practical solutions that will completely change teaching and initiate a new educational paradigm in the next three years.u.
Behave Your Prints
The aim of the project Behave your Prints is to train young people to use technology in a responsible and useful way, which is the main reason why ICE, an institution within the LINKgroup, which supports and actively pursues similar goals, participates in this project. We live in a technology-driven world. Given that digital technologies have evolved in a relatively short period of time, we are faced with the fact that many young people don't possess adequate knowledge, and therefore use new technologies recklessly and irresponsibly.
The Trial of Socrates
In partnership with the Embassy of the United States of America, the Institute for Contemporary Education, one of the institutions within the LINKgroup, launched the Trial of Socrates project. It is a one-of-a-kind educational project that enables civic education teachers who teach in high schools and gymnasiums to acquire new skills and familiarize themselves with the latest teaching practices in this field, as well as to empower students to change the world for the better through decision-making.
MIR: (Mechatronic - IT - Robotic)
LINKgroup’s Information Technology High School, ITHS, participates in the project MIR. The aim of this project is to harmonize school development plans with the latest international standards in education. The role of national and international networking with other educational institutions is very important in order to achieve the school’s mission and vision, as well as to establish links with the business sector that offers employment opportunities for our students.
Smart.AInnovators
One of the LINKgroup’s institutions, ITHS participates in another project that aims to improve digital literacy and skills. Over the past decade, the intensified digitalization has transformed many aspects of our work and everyday life. The fourth industrial revolution has radically transformed society, as well as the labor market. Employers are faced with difficulties in finding qualified employees in many sectors, especially in the digital sector.
